Rökker Vodka

Carl, Yahara Bay's still from Germany

Rökker Vodka was released in 2011 by Rökker himself after touring through Europe with the legendary hard-rock band Last Crack and experiencing the Black Death Vodka in Reykjavic, Iceland.

Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Rökker Vodka, the “Black Death of the Midwest” is distilled and bottled at Yahara Bay Distillery and distributed in Wisconsin by Frank Liquor.

Rökker Vodka is distilled from corn and is both GLUTEN FREE and KOSHER .

Triple distilled and filtered, Rökker Vodka is distilled artisanally, the old fashioned way, removing the impurities that give you a hangover.

The self proclaimed Vodkateur came from the music industry. Rökker started playing in rock bands while attending college at the University of Wisconsin in the mid 80’s and early 90’s including The Sequentials, Cornerstone, The Jim May Band, Bradley Fish’s Electrifried Band and probably a few more that time has forgotten.

After working for a local music newspaper called Night Sites and Sounds that went belly up, Rökker and his longtime friend Black n Tan realized that Wisconsin really needed a music magazine to bring the musicians and fans of Wisconsin together and created Maximum Ink music magazine on March 7, 1996.

Maximum Ink expanded in 2011 to include Max Ink Radio, a station that plays much of Wisconsin and surrounding area music as well as national and international artists.

Rökker Vodka supports local Wisconsin musicians and sponsors shows around the state, helping to bring awareness of local music scenes as well as help local economies and spread the importance of locally manufactured products.
